Wedding apps

Where do I start? That is the most common question I get asked by friends starting to plan a wedding, so here are some thoughts:

Even if you are able to keep everything in your head for your big day wouldn't it be great to know that you don't have to?

I used the android app "wedding plandroid" after searching through many of the free apps that Google Play had to offer. This by far was the best for what I wanted/needed and I have yet to hear that any paid app is any better than this.

Split into 4 areas you get the following:

1. Tasks from start to finish with when it is suggested you do things during certain time periods (12 months +, 12-9 months, right down to what needs to happen on the day and the days after the wedding etc). You have to option to delete the stuff that is not applicible for you and to add as many more tasks that you want to track for yourself.

2. Guests, a list that tracks who you've sent invites to, who has responded and how they have responded and even lets you invite to ceremony and reception separately and tracks your numbers for you.

3. Vendors, I hardly used this feature as I had most of everything done all in one place to make life easy, but at the drop of a hat I had all the phone numbers etc of everyone I _was_ using.

4. Budget, Perfect for tracking everything, also has suggested areas that money should be spent on to give you yet more clues about what how many little pieces form a wedding.
